Activities of the Ashrama along the lines laid down by Swami Vivekananda – "Atmano Mokshartham Jagadhitaya cha" or "for the liberation of self & welfare of the world."

Vasanta Vihara 2014 : A Report

Like in previous years this year too Vasanta Vihara, a camp for boys in the age group of 10-16 yrs was held in the Ashrama in two batches from April 11th to May 10th 2014. More than 30 students participated in the first batch which concluded on 19th April & 50 students participated in the second batch which concluded on 10th May.

Workshops and interactive sessions were organized in this camp included topics such as

  • Personality Developement
  • Samskrit & lndian Culture
  • Creative Thinking
  • Role-Play
  • Story Narration
  • Library Hours
  • Educational Audio/Visual Presentations

Vedic Chanting, Stotras & Bhajans, Subhashitams, Bhagavad Gita chanting, Meditation  and Karate classes too were held. Lectures and audio visual presentations were organized on themes such as personality development, our Epics and great personalities, life & teachings of Swami Vivekananda and saints of India. Eminent members from the teaching profession were invited to address the participants in the serene and elevating atmosphere of the Ashrama.
