Activities of the Ashrama along the lines laid down by Swami Vivekananda – "Atmano Mokshartham Jagadhitaya cha" or "for the liberation of self & welfare of the world."
A five-day residential spiritual camp for initiated devotees of the Holy Trio, it is held once every three months and attended by about 100 devotees. Four such events were organized during the year. Participants perform Japa, and participate in the programme interspersed with Bhajans, reading and and discourses by senior monks.
About Rs.11 lakhs were distributed to nearly 450 needy and meritorious students of the state (pre-university to post graduate students).
Under this scheme we provide raw food materials (groceries) to extremely poor families each month. The food materials include rice, wheat flour, edible oil and dal. During the year 55 families received groceries every month.
Cataract screening camps are held in the Ashrama. Those cataract are operated free of cost in our own eye clinic ‘ Sri Sarada Netralaya’. During the year 2458 patients were screened and 435 operated free for cataract.
Renovation of the Town Centre – Bhate House building sanctified by the stay of Swami Vivekananda is in progress since October 2014 at an estimated cost of Rs.5 Crores.
Free coaching for students of local Government School after school hours. Students are taught core subjects as also co-curricular subjects. 60 students attended the year-long coaching.
