About Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Belgaum

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Belgaum is a branch of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, W. B., India. This Ashrama was started in the year 2000 at the very place stayed in by Swami Vivekananda for 9 days in the year 1892. Swami Vivekananda, then an itinerant monk, visited Belgaum from 16th October, 1892 to 27th October, 1892. During his visit, Swamiji stayed at two places, both of which are now part of Ramakrishna Mission. Thus, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Belgaum has two campuses.

The campus at Fort, Belgaum has a temple, a bookshop, a charitable eye hospital, a reading room for students and a computer coaching center. The campus at Swami Vivekananda Marg houses an exhibition depicting life and message of Swami Vivekananda, Both the places are open for public to visit during visiting hours.
