In November 2017, scholarships were distributed to 400+ students. Total amount disbursed was nearing Rs 14 lakhs.
Poor and meritorious students were selected through a screening process that lasted for about 3 months.
On 19th and 26th of November 2017, about 200 students from nearby Belagavi were awarded scholarships at the Ashama itself. Rest of the students were handed over the scholarship amounts through referring institutions/volunteers.
Recipients of scholarship were from various districts of Karnataka, covering almost the entire state.
